Double-sided tapes (such as 3M 4910) offer both adhesive and cushioning properties and are widely used in advertising signs and appliance assembly.

Finally, the application determines the choice of tape. The construction industry prefers high-strength VHB tapes for structural bonding, while the electronics industry relies on precision conductive tapes to ensure circuit stability.
